Re: Serious Editor Crash
i tested all compatibility modes of windows than i run an XP Simulator doesnt work too.
On a Windows XP computer it crashes also.
It starts normal but if i do something or start a new Project i get an "WOLRDEDITOR MFC Error" .
I think its an Error of Serious Sam not of the operating system.
Can someone upload his version of the game please, than ill install it maybe it will work.
biiiig thx

Re: Serious Editor Crash
I got the same message once the MFC Error thing, but i'm not sure how i fixed it.
maybe something with the registery
1 try running as admin (maybe not useful but try)
2 right click on sam folder, Properties -> Security tab and change user restrictions to "Full control".
3 if sam installed in C:\... then try to move it to another drive

Re: Serious Editor Crash
it's pretty much like unfixable (to those who have the problem)
i asked this before in seriouszone.com and serious sam editor has bug with 64bit windows 7, they don't wanna fix it because it would cost to much time for a game that's old and doesnt profit themm anymore --'. That's what they said in seriouszone.com.... anyways, if one of you guys is a brilliant programmer; fixing this bug is a challenge

First of all
Sry for the bad English ;D
TROUBLESHOOTING for Serious Editor Crash
I found out that the editor will only run on 32bit operating systems, even with Windows 7 32bit.
On all systems with 64bit the Editor doesnt work most of the time.
Which Systemtype you have you can you see on > "Windows Button>Control Panel> System and Security>> System type" (Win7)
Solution:
I found a program called "Virtual Box".
With this program you can simulate Windows XP,Win7,Vista,Linux and and and.
But in order to simulate a different operating system you have to be in possession of the operating system, ie a CD or a Copy from harddisc.
So what to do:
First, you need Virtual Box. Download here
After installation, open, and create under "NEW" a virtual machine.
Now give the Maschine a Name and the Type of the Operating System.
After this you can choose now how much workmemory and system memory the machine should have, its like a 2 Computer but virtuell.
Than you must install a operating System ,i installed Windows XP 32bit.
After installing the operating system you need to reboot it.
After the reboot you need a CD drive (or even an external hard drive depends on where you have Serious Sam).
To do this you simply go in Virtual Box under "Device". I set a external harddisc and install Serious sam from here.
Start the Serious Editor and you will see it works perfekt
Hope i could help ya.
So have a nice Day
